Current Collaborations:
- Asali Library: Built in January of 2018, the Asali library is now full of books for children at the community center. Teachers have started incorporating these materials into after school lessons in order to bring visual learning into the classroom.
- English Club: Asali has recently hired Teacher Charles, an ambitious young educator, to run an English club for all ages. Read more about this on our blog!
- Langoni Project: News of English Club spread into local school districts and Teacher Charles was invited to bring his teaching methods to the local Langoni Primary School. Not only will he boosting their English program, he will also be training their teachers to implement more diversified teaching methods.
- Arts Education: In order to supplement the Simba's Program, Asali has hired two music teachers to give guitar and keyboard lessons at the center.
- Music Studio: We strongly support arts education for all children. In an effort to bring more opportunities and access, Asali has donated guitars, a keyboard, drums, and recording equipment for the Simba's community to use. We love watching music bring people together.
