In the 2022–2023 year, Asali Project deepened its impact through its long-term partnership with Simba’s Footprints in Tanzania. The organization focused on education, arts, healthcare, and economic empowerment, especially for women and youth.
Key Achievements
Reached 2,115 young people and supported 313 women.
Invested $73,374 in community-led development.
Created 5 jobs and launched 4 income-generating projects (e.g., chicken farm, sewing shop, music studio, tourism).
Delivered 52 professional development opportunities to local leaders.
Hosted 10 cultural tourism trips, helping fund programs.
Co-created an East African Music Cohort connecting Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Partnership Highlights
Ongoing support for English, Music, and Health Insurance programs at Simba’s Footprints.
Marketing, grant-writing, and strategic support provided to local partners.
In-kind donations included 15 laptops and musical instruments valued at over $27,000.
